GAP is an American fashion company that was founded in 1969 in San Francisco. Its presence is international, with more than 3,300 establishments , and is especially known for its t-shirts, jeans and sweatshirts, many of which feature the brand’s logo. In Spain and Portugal, its physical stores are operated by Group Galceran, which incorporated online sales in 2021, and joined Elogia as a client in 2021 to count on our support in the launch of its online and eCommerce operations. TAKING SOCIAL ADS OPTIMIZATION TO ANOTHER LEVEL

In January 2023, at Elogia Fashion Lab, we launched an experiment with GAP on META’s ASC+ campaigns. And to do so, We decided to apply an AB testing methodology in a controlled test environment, before rolling it out across Social Paid’s entire operation.

The fundamental reason why A/B testing is so valuable, and why we decided to do it in this case, is that it allows decisions to be made based on concrete data and not on assumptions or intuitions.

The ability to test and adapt based on the results obtained is essential in a constantly changing environment, where effectiveness and relevance make the difference between success and failure. In the case of GAP, They helped us certify the proper functioning of the Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns.

THIS IS HOW WE DID IT

During the test, which lasted 3 weeks, our team carried out ASC+ campaigns and “traditional” campaigns to deal with profitability and results.

On the one hand, they were created 4 traditional campaigns segmented by audiences, There were campaigns with static formats, and campaigns with dynamic creatives with a catalogue feed. Their objectives were the usual ones within the Meta environment, in this case, sales or conversions.
On the other hand, a a single dynamically configured ASC+ campaign to vary depending on the part of the funnel impacted, and the type of segmentation, creatives (dynamic or feed) and conversion objective. The optimization of this campaign, supervised and configured by our team, was carried out by the machine learning de meta.
